This policy explains what personal data Blunder Audio collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the website blunderaudio.com, the waitlist, purchases and email support. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / nDSG) and, for people in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect and why

Waitlist. The waitlist uses Gumroad's "follow" feature. The website only links to the follow form on fumbleaudio.gumroad.com; it does not embed any Gumroad script, and we do not store waitlist data ourselves. When you follow Blunder Audio, Gumroad collects your email address and processes it under its own privacy policy (https://gumroad.com/privacy). Gumroad makes your email address visible to us in our Gumroad account so that we can send you updates about Snup through Gumroad (an announcement, launch day, and a reminder before the launch price ends). Legal basis (GDPR): your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Emails you send us. If you contact support, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write (for example your macOS version, DAW and screenshots). We use this only to answer you and to fix problems. Legal basis (GDPR): performing our contract with you or responding to your request (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Purchases. Snup is sold through Gumroad. Gumroad processes your payment and order under its own privacy policy (https://gumroad.com/privacy); we never see your full payment details. Gumroad shares with us the information needed to deliver the product and support you, such as your email address and order details. We use this to provide downloads, updates, support and refunds, and keep records required by law. Legal basis (GDPR): contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Visiting the website. The site is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the pages and protect the site, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information. We do not use this data to identify or profile you. Legal basis (GDPR): our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.

No tracking, no cookies

The website uses no analytics, no tracking or advertising cookies, and no third-party scripts. Fonts are hosted on our own site, so no data is sent to font services. Links to Gumroad take you to Gumroad's site, where its own privacy policy and cookies apply.

Where your data is stored

Website: Cloudflare Pages, operated by Cloudflare, Inc., USA.
Waitlist and waitlist emails: Gumroad, Inc., USA (Gumroad follow feature and Gumroad emails to followers).
Support emails: stored with our email provider.
Purchases: Gumroad, Inc., USA.

These providers may process data outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, including in the USA. Where that happens, the transfer safeguards described in each provider's own privacy policy apply.

How long we keep it

Waitlist: held by Gumroad until you unfollow or unsubscribe; Gumroad's own retention rules apply.
Support emails: as long as needed to handle your request.
Purchase records: as long as required by Swiss accounting law.

Unsubscribe, deletion and your rights

Every waitlist email is sent through Gumroad and includes an unsubscribe link; you can also unfollow Blunder Audio in your Gumroad account. You can also email support@blunderaudio.com at any time to leave the waitlist or have your data deleted. For data Gumroad holds as its own controller (for example your Gumroad account), you can also contact Gumroad directly.

You have the right to:

ask what data we hold about you and get a copy (access, and portability under the GDPR);
have incorrect data corrected;
have your data deleted;
object to or restrict processing;
withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing before the withdrawal).

To exercise these rights, email support@blunderaudio.com. We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity, for example by writing from the email address concerned.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / EDÖB, https://www.edoeb.admin.ch); in the EU/EEA, the data protection authority of your country.
