.pkg) from your Gumroad receipt email or your Gumroad Library..pkg and follow the steps. macOS will ask for an administrator password, because the plugins are installed in the system-wide plugin folders./Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3You do not need to move any files by hand.
In the root Library folder (/Library, not your user Library ~/Library). In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder… and enter /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components or /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3.
Delete the Snup files from the two folders above (Snup.component and Snup.vst3), then rescan plugins in your DAW.
If Snup still does not appear, check that the files exist in the folders listed under Installation. If they are missing, run the installer again. If they are present and Live still does not list Snup, contact support with your macOS version, Mac model (Apple Silicon or Intel) and Live version.
Both behave the same. Use one of them; showing both in Live is harmless but can clutter the Browser.
The Snup installer is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it installs without any extra security steps. On a first open, macOS may show a standard confirmation that the file was downloaded from the internet; click Open or Continue to proceed.
You should not see a message saying the developer cannot be verified or that the file is damaged. If you do:
Do not disable Gatekeeper or other macOS security features to install Snup.

Each Snup instance holds its tape in memory so that cutting, splicing and overdubbing respond instantly. A fixed 5-minute length keeps memory use predictable.
As a guide, 5 minutes of stereo audio stored as 32-bit floating point at 48 kHz is about 115 MB; at 96 kHz it is about 230 MB. Actual use depends on the sample rate of your project and Snup's internal storage format. If you run many instances, watch your available memory in Activity Monitor.
The tape is always 5 minutes long.
Snup has been tested in Ableton Live. It is built as a standard AU and VST3 plugin, so it is expected to work in other Mac hosts that support these formats, such as Logic Pro, GarageBand, Bitwig Studio, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One and FL Studio. These hosts have not yet been tested.
If you use Snup in another DAW and run into a problem, contact support with the DAW name and version. Reports help us prioritise testing.
No. Pro Tools requires the AAX format, which Snup does not currently provide.
Open Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-in Manager, find Snup under Blunder Audio, and click Reset & Rescan Selection. Make sure the checkbox in the Use column is ticked.
Not at the moment. Snup 1.0.0 is Mac only. Purchases are for the Mac version; please do not buy Snup expecting a Windows release.
